BREAM FC presented a cheque for £1,055 to the Great Oaks Hospice –after holding a very successful BreamFest at Bream Sports Club in August. The donation was made possible by the proceeds from the BreamFest.
Previous BreamFests have seen £1,100 raised for a special school and another £1,400 for a playgroup.
A report in the Forest of Dean & Wye Valley Review added: “… Bream currently play at Worrall Hill, but the club has recently imported 20,000 tons of soil and topsoil to construct a brand new pitch”.
“With seeding virtually the only job left to do, the club is hopeful that the first game on it will be at the start of the 2020-21 season at the end of next summer”.
“At the end of last season, the club achieved FA Standard Charter status, meaning that each of the sides goes out with fully-trained first aiders on hand”.
